Editorial Policy

Luxury Vehicle Transport publishes practical consumer guidance for owners and buyers moving exotic, classic, collector, modified and other high-value vehicles. Our work is editorial: we explain how transport methods, carrier choice, insurance, preparation, loading, inspection and logistics can affect risk and cost. We are not presenting this publication as a vehicle carrier or broker.

How we research transport topics

Our central question is: what transport setup protects this particular vehicle and transaction? Recommendations focus on the details that can change the answer, including vehicle value and condition, ground clearance, trailer type, route, handoffs, storage, loading method and written liability terms.

When current facts matter, we prioritize relevant primary sources. These may include carrier documentation, insurer terms, transport-industry materials, auction and shipping instructions, vehicle-specific loading guidance and regulatory information such as current FMCSA records. Rules, prices, insurance terms and company policies can change, so they are checked at publication or update time rather than treated as permanent facts.

Evidence, attribution and experience

Important claims should be traceable to an appropriate source. We use clear attribution when the identity of a carrier, insurer, auction house, regulator or other source helps readers evaluate a claim. Secondary and community sources can provide context or identify practical issues, but they do not replace direct documentation for company terms, official rules or technical specifications.

We distinguish documented first-hand experience from research and editorial analysis. First-person observations are used only when the underlying activity, test, measurement or experience is documented. Otherwise, guidance is presented as a research-based assessment, with uncertainty or important limitations noted when they could change a reader’s decision.

Commercial relationships and corrections

Material affiliate, sponsorship, ownership or other commercial relationships are identified when supplied and relevant to a recommendation. Recommendations should still explain the practical evidence, tradeoffs and checks that support them.

To report a meaningful error, use the verified Contact page and include the article URL, the statement in question and supporting evidence. Corrections are assessed against current, direct sources, and material errors are updated when warranted.
